Thank you, Martha!

She was born there in Dallas to my son and daughter-in-law. Skype is a wonderful thing, so even though the connection was bad, I got to see her in real time for a few minutes when she was about six hours old. I will be going to see her in person Dec. 7th. She made my father the first great-grandfather in our family for who-knows-how-many generations, and there are first-time great-grands on her mother's side as well. My son and I are quite close, and I am looking forward to watching him learn the joys...and the heartaches... of parenthood.
Interestingly, her mother's family has gluten, lactose, and egg intolerances, although her mother doesn't seem to have any. I really appreciate this awareness on her mother's side as I suspect this little gal will have a few food intolerances of her own.
I hope your Thanksgiving is wonderful as well!!
