Are we really any safer traveling these days?
Here is an article about a passenger who had to frequently use the facilities on the plane, and because of that it was considered 'suspicious' behavior. The passenger was asked to leave the plane at the next stop and the plane had to be checked by a security team before continuing...
Talk about a 'bum rap'

We live in a nutty world.
Apparently those passengers believe that most terrorist training handbooks must include a chapter on running back and fourth to the bathroom as a tactic to inspire trust, and maintain a low profile.
We can only imagine how we might appear to that audience, if we were having a flare.
I've seen a similar article or two about passengers with Crohn's disease, who were having a flare. They were treated as terrorist suspects, also.
The worst offense, of course, is running to the loo when the "Fasten Seat Belts" order is in effect. That's probably close to a "shoot-on-sight" offense these days.
This is just another example of why it is a good idea to get a letter from your doctor, requesting seating that allows easy access to the John, and sending a copy of that letter to the airline a week or two before the flight, and bringing additional copies with you to share with the attendants when you board the plane. That way, there are no unpleasant surprises.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
I'm glad I didn't know about this when I took my flight to Hawaii. I must have gone to the bathroom 5-6 times, each time thinking Norman was ready. He never showed. I guess he wanted to see Hawaii, too.
Maybe Juan Williams isn't the only one who gets nervous.
Gloria
other passengers said he was taking too many potty breaks
Hmmm. It seems that even though the TSA isn't profiling, the passengers were.the unnamed passenger, reportedly of Middle Eastern descent, was detained momentarily and questioned.

You never know what you can do until you have to do it.
