My news
after a crazy couple of weeks my news is that i got a new job (slight promotion) in the regional area I want to live - Woo Hoo
It was something i had been pondering before MC and wanted more so post MC (easier lifestyle, cheaper living etc)
in September I had started to give up hope that it would materialize (post a couple of failed attempts) then when i least expected it, the rainbow appeared and with a bit of patience it had a pot of gold at the end....
it took a bit of energy as i had to sneak to interviews (mmm yes it is a bit hard to sneak when the location is 2 hours drive each way..) and one of the meetings involved lunch (Ants chef cards worked a treat)
I signed my new contract first up today, resigned from current job at lunchtime. I finish 23 December, move 29 December and start the new job 4 Dec.
to get through the past couple of weeks i found myself making deals with my body....ie body, just be really good for the next 3 hours and then i dont care what you do after that ... and my body listened....
Have a great weekend everybody, tomorrow (sat) i am off to canberra for work (2.5hr flight) and meeting up with Lyn (Bifcus) so the Aussie PP contingent are having a get together.

Dear Gabes
Woooondeeeeerfuuuullll......That is great news!!
As you know (but others may not) I made a flying visit to Sydney this week.
I was "consultant" to a Hong Kong based company doing their sales conference in Sydney (what a beautiful city).
My agenda (positioned as a crazy, old branding guru) was to get them to put me on a retainer that fits my new lifestyle (i.e. takes account of fatigue....which has hit me like a train since going back on Entocort - more about that later).
I think the retainer is going to happen (my presentation went well and, yes, I took an Imodium before my "show" just in case.....)
So all in all it seems like a good week for the MC family down under
Best, Ant

Gabes,
Congratulations! I hope that everything goes as smoothly as possible.
Have fun with Lyn in Canberra.

P. S. I once tried negotiating with my body, but it just laughed at me, since it knew that I had nothing to bargain with.

in my eyes you got the last laugh as your spirit and enthusiasm has not waivered even with the challenges your body threw at you!
thanks everybody for your support,
Ant - that is fantastic that you too can get the work thing to work with the health thing, glad you enjoyed Sydney.

Hmmmmm. You may be right. One thing's for sure - my colon stopped laughing at me when it woke up one morning in a dumpster, following surgery.Gabes wrote:in my eyes you got the last laugh as your spirit and enthusiasm has not waivered even with the challenges your body threw at you!
Maybe the rest of my body took note of that, so I may have to try reopening negotiations, one of the days.
