Hi everyone,

My goodness - this truly is a family!!! Woke up to find all these wonderful messages of well wishes - thank you everyone. I only had 2 BM's yesterday, although still D, but felt so much better. So far this morning I feel pretty good. I have to believe that all the hard work over these past 5 months is paying dividends, and that some healing has taken place. I will give a more detailed update soon (suffice it to say "it has been a challenging month").

Rich - I truly hope that you're feeling much better this morning - I've still got my fingers and toes crossed for you :).

Maggie - I've been thinking a lot about you and your trip to the Outer Banks - hoping and praying it turned out to be a relaxing and stress free trip for you!!!

Love,
Kari

Kari and All,

I'm better today. Though GI is still lagging my overall improvement (typical). Kari, glad you are on the mend too.

I went to Walgreens this morning to buy some TSA approved, over-priced, miniaturized toiletries and some imodium. The imodium was nearly sold out!! So there must be a bug out there, or, everyone has contracted MC.

But thanks everyone for your support. As Kari stated, this is truly a family... A potty family :)

I am flying tomorrow so I gotta get better (or at least stable) by tomorrow. Anyone out there from Wichita? Next week is Berkely, CA and Newark, NJ. I am beginning to dread the coast-to-coast trips but that is where I pick up on my lost sleep. Newark airport is enough to make anyone afraid to fly :)

Regards,

Rich

Rich and Kari;
I am glad to hear you're both feeling better. :dancingpenguins: Haven't been on the board much for the last couple of days. Lots of stuff going on here too, tho not of the MC variety. Stress is softening things up a bit tho. Hoping it doesn't get worse.

I hope you get stabalized in time for your trip tomorrow, Rich. And Kari, any idea what was the "fire" (that your body had to pull out the hose for.... )

I'm partial to Polly's "battery acid D" description of a few months ago. It's firehose PLUS!

In Guatemala there is a tiny chilipepper that packs a lot of heat. It's called chile Chiltepe. Some people call it chile Campana ("bell" pepper), porque pica y repica!! (because it burns and re-burns [on the way out]!!). I appreciate that joke much better now.

I suffered a short (hopefully) setback yesterday after eating a special GF/DF meal prepared for me at a Marriott hotel. The chicken breast tasted too flavorful...
Gabe, I agree that as things start to heal, the setbacks are much shorter. I can go 5x in one afternoon, bloated, tired, etc, only to feel normal again the next day.

Rich, I hope you feel better soon. Was this your first CT scan? I always worry about people getting too much cumulative radiation exposure from CTs. I know they are often medically necessary, but hospitals hand them out like candy nowadays. If I were in the hospital for MC-related issues, I would request an ultrasound or even an MRI first, if possible.
