Is clomid considered HRT
Is clomid considered HRT. I think so, if it is I think I know how I got LC.
Not exactly. It's sort of the opposite of HRT, isn't it? Rather than to replace hormones, Clomid inhibits the effect of estrogen in the pituitary, which in effect, short circuits the natural negative feedback loop that controls gonadotropin release. In men, it increases the production of testosterone and antagonizes the effects of estrogen. I don't claim to be an authority on HRT, so if anyone has better information, please don't hesitate to post it.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

reading stuff on the net, it is changing how the hormones work to ensure an egg is released.
like tex said it is not exactly HRT, but it is changing the hormone levels. Some of the issues you are having could be related to the side effects of the Clomid.
hope this helps
