Gabes,

Good luck with your move. I have also moved a lot in my life but the MC has caused my to become a homebody (at least when I am home). I have been home for 3 days and have really enjoyed it. It is so neat to come home at night at see me wife, sleep in my bed, etc.

The house needs work. I have admittedly neglected it. But I really don't care. It simply isn;t a priority, especially, as you know, when you have no energy.

Be careful, don't over exert yourself, and good idea with the MC emergency kit. I have something similar in my carry on bag. Maybe it is more of a placebo... but nonetheless, I am glad it is there.

Rich,

Good luck managing the upcoming travel. It sounds pretty horrendous to me. I don't know how you do it. Will you get some respite at Christmas?

Rich, you have it in a nutshell.................things are doing great and then D and/or loose bowels just happens and doesn't go away at least for me!! My sympathy my friend. I'm afraid I would be full of anixety if I had your schedule so I admire your determination. You are right about one thing, not to give up. I'm working on the relaxation part but work is hell right now and I am so ready to retire that it's not helping me much right now.

I'm going ahead with the MRT testing (through our Mary Beth) to see if it will shed some light, otherwise, retirement might come a little earlier than I planned. One day at a time.

Praying for a safe trip, Ginny

Gloria and Ginny,

I am getting some time off over Christmas. Come home the 22nd from South Carolina and then I think I am down for a good week. Appreciate your support. You don't know how important that is!! Would be a very lonely and scary place without all of you.

I started some Pepto today on top of Entocort. Using the liquid type. It actually settled my stomach this morning so I am adding that to my travel kit since I can take my large bottle on the charter.

My new office manager is really cool. We went to lunch today and had a gluten-free japanese lunch. That much is good.

Ginny and all the rest of the PP,

I suppose I could have been the author of this thread. I have been going through similar circumstances. I was doing so well and then BOOM! everything just fell apart. I am back on Entocort and Imodium. Been going through stress also. I was reading what everyone wrote to Ginny but I felt like you all were writing to me too. Thank you so, so much. I may lurk on here most of the time but I just had to say thank you to all of you.

Ginny, the only thing I can add to what the others have said to you is maybe try eliminating all fruit for a few days and see what happens. I have fructose malabsorption in the worst way and it is on top of MC. Eliminating all fructose, even sucrose, I eliminate the gurgling and gas and muscle aches too. I even have to eliminate all yellow and orange vegetables. I also eliminate all fructans - wheat, asparagus, onion, garlic, artichokes, there are more but that is all I can think of right now. Oh, yeah, sugar alcohols - sorbitol, xylitol, mannitol, etc. Most toothpastes are sweetened with sorbitol and I found out that saccharin is from corn. Maybe, hopefully, prayerfully, this is not your problem but it might be worth a try for a few days.

Oh, Pat, I feel for you. Will this never end? If anyone deserves the "trouper" award, you do. I hope Entocort and Imodium are helping. :bigbighug:

Awww Pat,

I'm sorry to hear the bad news. Something has to be going on - too many people are having flares.

Stress seems to be the common thread. I wonder if something happens with this disease to make us more vulnerable to stress, (maybe certain genes become alterred).

I hope the Entocort brings results.

Pat, I have not "met" you before, but my heart goes out to you. Hoping you pullout of this flare soon. Best regards,

Thanks, guys. Yep, stress definately plays a part, but the food intolerances are the worst and for some reason I just have many. I find it hard to eat the same thing all the time and that doesn't really work anyway. Entocort only helps as well as Imodium. I did have some normans a little over a month ago; believe it or not it was after succumbing to wheat. But it was short lived. A day or so. Then gradually all hell broke loose. I regret eating the wheat but was in a very tight spot and nothing else to eat. I'm weak, what else can I say. The fructose thing makes it very very difficult. It's like a curse. I'll make it ... especially with friends like you. Thanks again.
