Grateful Hearts

Post by MBombardier »

Dear All,

I thought about saying that I was writing this from the bathroom  but I am actually between trips as I deal with an unexpected and unexplained flare. Thankfully, I know from this forum that this happens from time to time on our journey to remission, and I am not depressed or hopeless. Annoyed, yes. Wondering if since I have been GF since the end of September if my body is telling me of another intolerance, yes. I suspect soy... I have been eating entirely too many M&Ms.

I have read all the messages of gratitude that have been posted, and I agree wholeheartedly with each and every one of them. And I am grateful for grateful hearts. I think gratitude is one of the primary virtues. If we are grateful, we will rarely suffer from greed, or jealousy, or envy, and each blessing or victory no matter how small is a cause for celebration.

I am grateful for all of you, and for the opportunity to learn with and from you, cry with you, and celebrate with you as we each strive to find healing in the way that is best for each of us in this unique, puzzling disease.

Marliss,

So sorry you're "flaring", but you've certainly learned the right attitude of dealing with it - good for you!!! I LOVE your message of gratitude - thanks for sharing that sentiment.

I wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season, and a new year filled with good health, lots of love and happiness.

Love,
Kari

Marliss,

I hope your flare doesn't last long and you don't have to worry about it during the holidays.

I would suspect another intolerance because your immune system has probably gotten bored since you've eliminated gluten and is looking for something else to fight.

I enjoy your posts and think you are a great contribution to the board.

You are truly an inspiration and yes as Gloria said - your immune system is probably bored and looking for another way to annoy you. Hope you get it under control so you can enjoy the holidays.

Love, Maggie

All the best over the holidays, Marliss. I am about to embark on Christmas baking today ( about a month later than usual but better than not at all!) and thanks to you, I have some great recipes.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas. I hope your flare straightens up real soon!

Love Linda
