Lunch with Joe

Post by mbeezie »

Hi Everyone,

When we were in Boston for my appointment with Dr. Castells we were able to squeeze in lunch with Joe. We met at Legal Seafood for a delicious GF meal. We went to the wrong location but Joe finally tracked us down.

It was so much fun to finally meet a fellow PP. Learning about Joe's work was fascinating. My son added added to the conversation by telling Joe that his mom "flatulates" at high elevations

Mary Beth I'm glad the photos on your camera came out OK. The ones the waiter took with mine came out terrible.

It was great to have a chance to meet you and your wonderful family. Your son certainly is honest LOL

Thanks for taking the time to say hello, I certainly learned quite a bit from talking with you.

Regarding the MRT testing, I asked my nutritionist if the testing can be done while taking Imuran; she should be getting back to me soon.

Take care

Mary Beth,

What a great photo! Thanks so much for sharing. I recall the first time I met a fellow PP (Barbara) and how much fun it was.

I LOVE your son's comment! Too cute! But if it's true, then I am envious. I seem to flatulate at any altitude. Since I live at sea level, if I were like you, I'd have no problem whatsoever! HAHAHA.

Your son's comment brings back fond memories of my son at that age. One day in the early throes of MC, I just couldn't get off the toilet. My son stood outside the bathroom door making endless fart noises with his mouth. Whenever I made a noise, he did too, only much louder and longer. It wasn't funny at the time, of course!

Love,

Polly

Yep, 11 year old boys are totally into potty humor

It's true about the elevation and I'm not sure why. When we went to New Mexico a few years ago, pre-GF diet, I farted non-stop. We returned to NM in 2009 for Dr. Fine's camp and sure enough, at 7000 feet I started to toot again. Of course everyone at his Intestinal Health camp had issues, so my embarrassing flatulence wasn't a problem!!

Yep that's the German blood in me. I am surprised you could see that in the photo.

Mary Beth - LOL - the unpretentiousness of kids is so refreshing. Thanks for posting the pic - so nice to get to see you with your wonderful family - your little boy is adorable.

Joe - you look great in the pic - perhaps you should consider updating your profile pic so we get to see your eyes  .

Love,
Kari

Thanks Kari, work has been bugging me to go down to our photography shop for a picture to be used on posters when I give talks. I will get one next week and ask for a copy.

I am just not one that likes to get my picture taken.

Joe,

The same thought occurred to me when I clicked to enlarge the photo and saw those blue, blue eyes. Definitely time for a new photo to show off those baby-blues.

Mary Beth,

I think your son looks just like you!
