Burning in my gut..

Post by tcorbett »

Hi All,

One thing I have noticed and I'm not sure what to attribute it to - I have been noticing over the past few weeks, this warming/burning sensation in my gut - it's not heartburn in my stomach, it's further down. It comes a few hours after I eat breakfast, usually is gone by lunchtime. I do take my Apriso in the early am, along with Sacro B, I don't know if it's been since adding the Sacro B - I seriously doubt that. Anyone else had this sensation? I have been SCD for a month - so I eat chicken soup at breakfast. I just can't pinpoint it. Today it happened later in the day, because I had not eaten until 1pm - didn't have anything I could "legally" eat! lol I only had chicken with some really cooked carrots, SCD legal jello. Weird. Just thought I'd see if anyone has heard of this or experienced it. THanks Theresa

I hesitate to mention this, but is it possible you are having a problem with chicken? JoAnn and I both seem to have problems with it and we are both intolerant to chicken eggs.

Perhaps you could try substituting turkey and turkey broth for a few days to see if that helps. Unfortunately, turkey broth is more difficult to find than chicken broth. I make my own so that I'm sure of the ingredients. I don't know if you have time to make your own.

Oh Gloria,

I fear you may be right. I tried eggs yesterday and I kept having the runs and cramps from that. I think I have some fish that I found in my freezer and some fresh ground beef - that will keep me for tomorrow! lol

I really want to cry, but I can't - I have to move forward. Thanks so much Gloria! You are the best! I know I was successful with ground turkey, I will have to look out for more turkey. I always make my own broth now since I'm SCD.

Thanks so much!

Theresa

I will see what happens!

Hi,

Well someone on the BTVC board suggested it may be a stomach ulcer - she said where I was describing it was actually my stomach - yeah, I feel silly! i will call my GI tomorrow - but, I am worried if she wants to put me on something else! Yikes! I will read up on Apriso again and see if it could cause stomach issues, or maybe it's the sacro B?

Sometimes I feel like things are just getting worse the more I have Drs, GIs, DO look into this!! hee hee - Gone are the simple days of just plain Gluten Free eating! lol

Thanks again Theresa
