First of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you - 50 is an awesome milestone!!! Your bday prompted me to dig back in the archives here and see if I could find some history on you to learn a bit more about who you are. It is so much fun to get to know you "old timers". How wonderful that so many of you are still here helping us newbies with this pesky MC.
Also, I love "harvest_table" - makes me think of sun ripened, lush veggies and fruits. Probably speaks to the farmer in me . Anyhow, just wanted to thank you for still being here helping to keep this amazing forum going. Is my assumption correct that you've relocated from Alaska to Minnesota, or do you still have a place in Alaska? Reading about the long summer nights in Alaska made me a bit nostalgic for my home country, Norway.
Love,
Kari

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Glad you enjoyed it Polly. It felt very special to see a picture of Sally after everything I've read about her - also, to "hear" her voice speaking with you guys.
Thanks for the link to the picture Tex, I had been wondering about the "red streak" in the hair .
Love,
Kari

Oh my gosh, Kari, what an incredible researcher you are and thank you for reviving this post from so long ago. This conversations brings back such fond memories of early recovery and looking at Sally's picture, hearing her words is both bittersweet and inspiring. I know I'm not alone in that regards...the early support after DX is so important.
I'm actually 56 now, notice the (cough) of the birthday thread. Yes, we moved to Minnesota over four years ago and have kept our home in Alaska and go back time to time. Still gardening, but nothing like gardening in the land of the midnight sun as you know.
There is alot of good information in archives here- hope more folks will do exactly what you did, go back and research. Thank you so much for your contribution to this group Kari.
