My Daughter's 16th Birthday

Post by MBombardier »

My sweet Hannah turns 16 years old today, and I am feeling a little melancholy. Two of my children have already left the nest, and she is next. It seems like she was a tiny baby just yesterday. I blinked, and she's a young woman. Sierra, my youngest, will be 13 in June and was commiserating with me a few days ago that then I will no longer have little kids, just teens and grown-ups. That's the way it's supposed to happen, and it would be a tragedy if it did not. But I never realized that it would hurt so much.

Thanks all! I'm hoping they get married in the area so that I can have grandchildren to play with. I never knew I'd like being a grandmother until I became one a couple of months ago. It's funny how as I get older everything I heard when I was younger and dismissed is now becoming true in my life. It is a humbling experience. No doubt needed, lol.

Your girls are gorgeous. You're lucky MC hit after they reached more self-sufficient years. What I woudn't give to have some peace when I go to the potty!

Absolutely beautiful Marliss and you are truly blessed. They look so much like you and the smile, as Tex said, is the same.

We finally have a grandbaby in the U.S. who was born last week and is only 15 miles from us. She is absolutely gorgeous and the prettiest baby in the U.S. - One proud grandmammy saying that.

Love, Maggie
