Rules for dining in foreign countries

Post by starfire »

Someone sent this to me today. I rather enjoyed it and found it interesting. I got 8 out of 11 but guessed at a couple.

I beg to differ on the French question--it is perfectly okay to ask for ketchup with your pommes frites. And in China, you traditionally don't have a "plate". You have a bowl of rice and you eat communally, taking some from each dish on the table as you like, placing it on your rice, and eating it that way.

Sorry to be the "party" pooper,

Mags

P.S.

In Iran, or any Muslim country, no one eats with their left hand. It is considered unclean, as it is the hand traditionally used to cleanse one's bottom with!
