I've managed to set up a consultation with a Gastroenterologist in two weeks. She is also trained in Internal Medicine although she only focuses on Gastro issues now. She's young, in her thirties so maybe she will be more open.
I feel like I have at least mild inflammation from one end to the other. The main spots seem to be my stomach, throat, and mouth depending upon what I eat. But some of that could come from mold hypersensitivity, so it can be confusing.
I will be asking her about extra lymphocytes in parts other than the colon, extra mast cells, and h. pylori. My LC is theoretically in remission, although I did have soft stools after eating the Liloki cheesecake (with dairy and some gluten) and that's uncommon for me. The soft stools that is. And the cheesecake, dairy and gluten too. I don't normally eat any of that (for years).
I wonder about a prednisone taper. Does that make sense if I don't have diarrhea? My main problem is not being able to eat most food except about 10, but I don't get D.... (well, unless I ate gluten or casein regularly...then I probably would.)
If anyone has any other suggestions, I would love to hear them. Thanks!
