Nestles New Friend

Post by Joefnh »

Nestles second family as it were, have just recently took home a new puppy named Ruby. I am not sure of the breed, but is apparently a pure breed of some sort

Here are a few photos

Ohh, how cute. It looks like Nestle already has taken a liking to her. She'll be a great mom.

Aww, it's so cute! At first I was going to say it's a hound of some kind but I just don't know now. Joe, ya gotta find out what kind of a dog your friends have. It's killin me!

Adorable! I'm not sure of the breed either, and I just watched 2 nights of the Westminster Dog Show! Maybe some kind of pointer? This puppy will wear Nestle out - she'll be sleeping quite well from now on, I predict!

Thanks for sharing.

Hugs,

Polly

It looks like an English pointer to me.

I'm gonna guess a German Shorthaired Pointer.

We should do some sort of a pot, and whoever guesses right gets it, lol. Uh-oh--it's too early in the week for me to be having such goofy ideas. It's only what? Tuesday?

Tex - think you're right. We had a couple when I was a kid. One was named Molly & she loved to go hunting! My dad & brothers would take her on the weekends & holidays. Some of my dad's friends would take her during the week when they could. When she was too old to go hunting, she would be left at home. Like a kid she would cry until she could no longer hear his truck.

Seeing these pictures brings back memories!

Tex--

I agree it's a German pointer, but I'm not so sure about the coat. It looks a bit longer than ours--may be a broken coat.

Great dogs, though...ours loves to talk!!

P.S. Get used to waking up in the middle of the night...Nalah has scared me to death when she has been dead asleep right next to me and wakes up in the middle of a dream, baying loud enough to wake the whole neighborhood!!!!

Gorgeous puppy Joe - your friend is lucky but Nestle is even luckier to have a pal close by.

German Pointer to me is the rick pick.

Love, Maggie

Joe, they are precious! I think my vote is with the German Pointer. Our neighbor had a dog at one time that looked just like Nestles's friend.

My favorite pick for Westminster was the Scottish Deerhound and he won!!!! Just something about his gentle walk and that he was retiring moved me to pull for him.

Well Tex you win the prize... it is a German Shorthaired Pointer. Nestle and Ruby are inseparable. If I let Nestle out she goes next door and waits to see if Ruby's around. She does seem to be taking on the mother role of taking care of Ruby.
