Appendicitis

I'm curious if there is a correlation between appendicitis and MC. I had acute appendicitis and emergency surgery 15 days before my first awful flare and subsequent MC diagnosis. I have seen references in other threads to appendicitis. Is it perhaps just related to the digestive system dealing with intolerances?

Jen,

Maybe Tex would put up a poll for that one. I know I had mine taken out when I was 16 and didn't have my first major flare until I was 54. So, for me the two don't seem to be related.

I definitely had IV antibiotics and I know that can trigger a flare. I guess the two hospitalizations were so close together I keep feeling like one signaled the beginning of the other.
