Tex-Migraine article

Post by JoAnn »

Hi Tex, I saw this news article and thought about you and some of the episodes you've had with migraines. It sounds similar to what you've experienced.

Morning, JoAnn,

That story was picked up by the national news, so I saw it on GMA this morning. Very interesting.

I've been fortunate, in that my speech has never been significantly affected, although during my first TIA-like event, I noticed that the nurse's notes, (from the ER), show that my speech was somewhat slurred. I have no way of knowing whether it actually was, or if she merely misinterpreted my sloppy communication skills. Maybe she wasn't a native Texan.

Something like that is always concerning, of course, since it's impossible to tell whether it's the initial stages of a stroke, or just another migraine aura.

Thanks for thinking of me - yes, I am definitely interested.

Love,
Tex
