I still can believe how miserable I feel after all these months.I am constantly tired depressed and in pain. I give everyone credit on here and im sorry if im negative. But this diagnosis is killing me. All I want to do is curl up on the couch.

the unfortunate thing with this crappy condition is that we can give you advice and words of support, but the hard work of being well is up to you.
The journey of attaining wellness is definately worth it.....but you have to want it.

Lisa it is tough to keep a good attitude when you are not feeling well.
Something that I had heard of in the past, but have really learned about these pasts months is to "Choose Your Attitude" meaning that even though our bodies are not cooperating we can choose the attitude that we have have even in the face of not feeling well.
Certainly having any chronic illness is tough to deal with, and does require a lot of mental energy, but you can overcome this Lisa. It will be work on your part and require diligence on your diet. As we have collectively found out the meds only help so much, the rest is up to us. A big part of feeling well will be sticking to our diet, and another just as important part of your recovery will be your attitude. As many with other chronic illnesses have learned attitude is everything.
Lisa there is a great book that was recommended to me a while ago when i was pretty much in the same place you are now. Its a small book with a great message called Fish. Barnes and Nobles carries it here in New England and you can also find it on Amazon. its only about 8o pages, but speaks volumes about how we can overcome difficult situations

We will always be here for you Lisa, and do want to see you get better. The advice given here will require work and patience but in the end with the meds and working through the dietary issues you can get MC under control.
Take care

Hi Lisa,
I am sorry you feel so bad. I know how hard it is. You have to make up your mind and tell yourself that you can beat this! If you get up everyday, with a good attitude, and eat the foods you can to survive for now, you can get sooo much better. It really is all about survival in the beginning.
Once you have adjusted to your new eating habits, you will feel reasonably well again, and get your life back.
It's going to take time, but the sooner you do it, the sooner you can get well.
I know, I have been where you are now and I went into remission for 4 years. I am sick again, and it has taken me 10 months to figure out what I can and cannot eat. I know once I have that figured out, I will get well again.
Hang in there and try hard....

Hi Lisa,
You know what? It is ok to curl up in a ball on the couch if you feel the need to do so. I am joining you today in doing the same. Ahhh!!!
But you also need to adopt a new attitude about how you fuel your body and in how you take care of yourself. I feel your pain and your anxiety, it can appear hopeless at times. But once you decide to take control of your life once again, you will feel better, bit by bit.
Start with diet. Eliminate the major triggers listed on this board. And as you need to, curl up on the couch. I am betting you will be doing this less and less as you get your diet under control.
Hugs for you!
Rich

I'm pretty certain that we all have felt the same. This disease is just the pits but you can feel better. It is overwhelming now. It will take time but it will happen if you tackle it one step at a time and one day at a time.
