In case you still use artifical sweeteners
Dr. Mercola has been a long-time enemy of aspartame (nutrasweet) and more recently sucralose (Splenda). I've always reacted to them and avoid them like the plague, but it kills me to watch people drinking diet soda all day long in the name of avoiding calories. It's pratically poison, and new studies link asparatame to a higher risk of stroke.

I have never used artificial sweeteners so I don't know how they affect me. In the beginning I just didn't like the aftertaste and later on I was convinced that they can only be harmful.
Recently, I purchased some unrefined sugar made from sugar cane. This is NOT refined sugar with molassas added back in. It has a very different taste from refined sugar but it's not bad at all.

That's what I use, Shirley. it's organic, unrefined, and free trade. My husband bought me a diet soda the other day (which I used to consume regularly) and it really made me feel strange. I won't be drinking any more of that.
