Welcome Linda!
Your speedy response to the diet sounds very similar to my initial reaction. The change was so remarkable, I was sure I had this thing licked. I also assumed it was celiac disease. Within days the constant bloating was gone, the stomach gurgles, the urgency, the cramps, and the frequency of D were amazingly improved. It totally changed my life. However, over months, I realized I wasn't reaching full remission. I sort of plateaud at "soft piles" in the toilet, probably fueled by occasional carelessness when eating out. Norman has been an infrequent visitor, stress makes symptoms worse, and I'm suspecting other mild intolerances, but I have my life back, so I am thankful nonetheless. I hope you've achieved full, long-lasting remission!

Dear All,
I can't thank you enough for your encouragement, advice and over-all support. I saw my doctor yesterday and guess what....he didn't mention diet! Surprise, surprise. He did however put me on Endocort. He was encouraging...."you'll be able to go back to your regular diet in no time....no will not have to wear a diaper....LC isn't that uncommon." Blah, blah blah. I in turn burst into tears. Maybe it's been the 7 weeks of hell. Or the fact that I'm famished, fearful to eat or drink anything but baby food.
Waiting to hear back regarding the gluten intolerance blood test that he wisely recommended.
Thanks again all!

Laine a gluten intolerance blood test? or a celiac blood test. I may be wrong here but I do not think there is a intolerance test only full blown celiac test.
If it is the celiac test don't be surprised if it comes back negative. I would say better than 90% of us who very sensitive to gluten have a negative celiac test.

Joe, it was a celiac test. If it comes back negative I could still be gluten intolerant? So it boils down to eliminating gluten and then see how I'm feeling I guess. Since being on the Endocort for a couple of days I feel better already. However I know once I'm off this might change. Still in the learning stage and gathering info. Thanks for clarifying the name of the test.
