Damning article today from Dr. Mercola about SSRIs

Unless I missed it in the article, Dr. Mercola overlooked a very important point - the fact that many/most drug treatments for mental health issues are examples of "creating" a market for a particular drug that Big Pharma had already developed, but for which no significant market existed, by "redefining certain issues as diseases. IOW, this is another prime example of "branded" marketing. Dr. Mercola sort of alluded to this, by pointing out that the drugs weren't developed to treat depression or anxiety, they were developed to prevent stress. But the fact of the matter is, this is a prime example or "branding", by means of redefining an issue into a disease, in order to sell huge volumes of an otherwise pretty much useless drug. As we all know, Big Pharma excels at this deceitful practice.
