Did you (meaning you in the US) already change time last weekend? Here it is always last weekend of March, I assume this will be in whole Europe. I thought it was the same weekend everywhere.

Could you please tell my boss?

Yes, Harma, they changed the dates that we move the clocks a couple of years ago to extend Daylight Savings Time. We moved our clocks this past weekend, and move them back on the first weekend after 10/31.

Oh thats longer than here (maybe Holland here or Jordan here), here it still is last weekend of March, last weekend of October. Only difference between middle east and europe, in europe on Saturday night, in middle east on Thursday night. During my previous stay I figured this out on Saturday, two days after time had changed.

Yep, every spring, the government "steals" an hour from all of us. What they do with it, I have no idea, but apparently they must remove all the nutrients from it, because when they give it back, in the fall, it never does me a bit of good - I find it to be hollow, and I always end up throwing it away, every time.

By contrast, though, when they "steal" that hour in the spring, I'm never able to make up for the loss, no matter how hard I try - it's just lost, forever. Obviously, this is just another form of taxation that the government has contrived, by convincing us that it's for the good of the country.

I just wish I knew what they do with all those hours that they steal from us. I wonder if they're storing them at Ft. Knox, or in some underground salt dome, of if they're using them up each year. I'm guessing it's the latter, since most politicians are loathe to carry over an unused resource. They learn early on, to use up everything available to them, so that no one threatens to cut their supply in the future.

I don't care which time might be selected, I just wish they would stick with one time, and never change it. I would be far better off, in the long run. I doubt that will ever happen, though, because just like all sources of tax revenue, the government is addicted to gaining all those hours that it steals from us every year, and they're not about to give them up. :sigh:

P. S. I'm a strong believer in the benefits of a 10 to 20 minute power nap, not just on "National Napping Day", but anytime it is needed. It definitely makes me much more productive, in the long run. Even just a minute or two can sometimes do wonders. Napping much longer than 20 or 30 minutes, though, (IOW, dropping into the "deep sleep" phase), tends to make me pretty much worthless for at least several hours afterward.

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
