So, since I was diagnosed I had been slowly regaining all the weight I lost over the summer and at the start of this month I was under 1kg off the weight I was before I was ill.
In the past two weeks I have lost it all again, and am back at the weight I was in August, meaning I've lost about 4.5kg. Not actually sure how, as I haven't really had a flare or anything.
I know I should probably be sat here doing this... But I'm actually a bit bemused by the situation more than anything.
Hope you are all well!
Love and hugs from a VERY sunny and warm (66!) UK

Well, that always seems worrisome, but I believe you have the right idea, just taking it in stride, because as I recall, my weight fluctuated wildly back before I reached stable remission, and I went through the cycle over and over again, before it finally stopped happening.
I'm guessing that the stress surrounding your parents marriage issues is probably playing a large role in your weight loss. Maybe you're forgetting to eat regularly, or you're just not eating enough.

Yeah I figure it is probably stress, I was just so annoyed that I was so near to being my original weight and to now be back to where i was is annoying.

I think the attitude will have to be onwards and upwards from here!!!!
I'm thinking of getting re-reffered to my GI when i go home for easter in April though, there is a long waiting list for him so should maybe get an appointment for when i am back in York over summer hopefully!

York! That was my #1 favorite place in the UK, when I toured with a college choir many years ago (before you were born). I had many wondrous experiences, and later spent much time in England on business, but for some reason... or maybe for no reason, like all great loves... York!
After trying very hard to gain some weight, I lost half of it when I had pneumonia January-February. It took me over a month, but I finally gained it back. You'll probably gain it back once things settle down.

You never know what you can do until you have to do it.
I too was like Gloria and had bacterial pneumonia from mid-September to almost end of October and then had the racoon attack on top of it and lost almost 20 lbs. I have sinced gained it back so there is hope. Once the stress diminishes a bit you should see it come back on.
Love, Maggie

You'll gain it back, don't worry. I think everyone goes up and down with MC, and stress is a major factor. Since I went GF, I now have the opposite problem--all of my clothes are tight! Want to trade? What size do you wear? Just kidding, but I literally have two wardrobes; one US size 4, and one US size 6. Sometimes the 4's are loose, and sometimes the 6's are tight. It really is frustrating.
Wow, we could all share a closet. I have been a 4 or 6 most of my adult life (in my case, primarily because they changed the sizes to keep our egos from exploding as the collective waistline expanded ;)
I must say, spending a few minutes thinking about clothes would be a lovely change from thinking about what food I'm taking in and what may happen to it on the way out.
Gloria, congratulations on your milestone!
Naty-Katy, I hope your stress is rapidly alleviated... and if you ever need to borrow an outfit while in New York, you know who to call ;)
