red dots?
Since I have been on my asacol hd 800 mg I have noticed tiny red dots on my stomach and chest. Not many but probably around 4. This morning I woke up and had one under my right eye. I googled it and it looks like it's something called "cherry hemangiomas"? but not quite sure...has this happened to anyone? I'm not sure what to think...?
I really doubt that those are cherry hemangiomas. You're pretty young for something like that, and besides, they take a while to grow, they don't just suddenly appear, especially in groups.
I'm inclined to agree with Gloria - they're probably some form of rash/hives/acne/etc., caused by the Asacol.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
My husband gets those, sometimes (home diagnosis - we also got our information from google). They seem to come and go and have never hurt him. In fact, I called him over just now and he has a few on his arms. They used to bother me, but his brother is a doctor and was totally unexcited about them ;)
I think if you have just 4, you should keep a watchful eye but not be super-alarmed. If you have a great increase suddenly, and/or have other symptoms, let your doctor know. It could be from the Asacol, or from your underlying condition, or something else. But if the Asacol is new to you, and this increases, you can crank up your concern.
AND - this is just my sense as a friendly person... not medical advice! If you have other symptoms that seem asacol-related, definitely call in the morning.
But I hope you're otherwise feeling OK...
Stay alert, but don't stress and sleep well, I hope!

thanks for the info... I have been on the asacol for 5+ weeks and seeing my doctor on Friday. I think I am supposed to stop it after 6 weeks so we'll see what he thinks. It has definitely helped me and I have been having 'normans' the whole time I have been on it. I'm curious to see what the doctor will recommend...
