It's National Doctor's Day

Post by tex »

Polly, Binky, and any other physicians who are members of this board:

Happy Doctor's Day!

Forgive me - I almost forgot. I had a reminder set on my PDA, but unfortunately, I didn't like the way one of the programs on it was performing, so yesterday I restored a previous image, so naturally it overwrote the reminder. And as we all know, my memory ain't what it used to be.

Anyway, I just wanted you to know that despite the sometimes, (OK, frequent), complaints we post here about our negative experiences with our own GI specialists, that doesn't mean that we don't appreciate the doctors in our lives, and especially those to whom we will always be eternally grateful, for all the help, support, knowledge, and insight that you have so generously provided for us, above and beyond the call of duty.

Please be aware that we do appreciate you, more than you will ever know, and on this special day, the least we can do is make sure that you are aware of how we feel. You are our lifeline to survival in a world full of hazards, and we thank you from the bottom of our heart, for all you do to lighten our suffering, improve our enjoyment of life, and enhance our longevity.

Polly, words can't describe the way we feel about your dedication to helping to make our lives better, and our loads lighter. You're the best.

:bouqueofpinkroses: :bouqueofpinkroses:

Thank you, dear friend.

Love,

Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Though I think we should also have a HAPPY TEX'S DAY to thank you for all you know and do, too.

My best wishes go out to Polly, Binky and other members on Doctor's Day. However, the only doctor that I am involved with that I would give best wishes to is my cardiologist and my retired PCP. The rest don't deserve it.

Love, Maggie

Good Morning, Tex, Gloria, and Maggie,

How nice of you to remember me on Doctor's Day! I am touched. Thanks for your thoughtfulness.

Tex, you must be the man who inspired the phrase "a gentleman and a scholar". That's you! A southern gentleman with an incisive and encyclopedic mind. Can't beat that combination!

Thanks again, friends.

Love,

Polly

I've been blessed throughout the last 16 years to have been involved with several compassionate and open-minded doctors who have gone above and beyond for my son and I. He wouldn't be who he is today without them. I would never have gotten through it all without them. I will be eternally grateful to them.

I know that I can find such a doctor for myself. I know they're out there. I won't give up.

Happy Doctor's Day to Polly and Binky. I'm sure your patients feel the same as I do regarding you both.

I couldn't agree more! Thanks for all you do to Polly, Binky and all the dedicated physicians out there. Sometimes we focus on the not-so-compassionate and knowledgeable physicians we are frustrated with but there are many wonderful practitioners out there who are very dedicated to healing and health and deserve our praise and respect.

My huge thanks to Polly, and my warmest greetings to the other doctors on this list in honor of Doctors Day!

And I am delighted to join the groundswell for a huge round of applause to Tex.

Thank you all. MC can be confusing and alarming to navigate, and the feeling that I can do this is an incredible, priceless gift.

My gratitude and best wishes to you all!

Polly,

:yourock: BIG TIME!!!!!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do to help keep this wonderful forum going. Your wisdom and caring are truly exceptional - you seem to take the time to "tune in" to each one of us and know precisely when cheerleading is needed. I applaud your dedication and hope you'll always be here, which, based on your history, I dare to trust  .

Love and hugs,
Kari

Polly,

I can only echo the comments from the others. Thanks for your sound advice and compassion. I only wish (not really) my doctors had this condition.
