question
i posted something similar a while ago regarding gerd symptoms and asacol.....well, i have been on lialda for a week....was on nothing for 1 week prior to starting the lialda.....and again the gerd symptoms.....seriously, could there be a correlation between those meds and gerd? maybe an ingredient in them?? i just find it too much of a coincidence. seeing the doc. on tues....might think i am nuts when i mention this but it's worth a shot. not sure if i should keep taking the lialda or not?????
I can't find any documented connection, but it may be an individual issue for you. Apparently, the only ingredients that they have in common are the mesalamine and magnesium stearate, and neither of those have been described as causing acid reflux or GERD.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
