Got an email today from Walgreens... of course I headed for the link on IBS to see what they were pushing.
Might be just my connection but the link for helpful hints to relief..doesn't load...LOL Sort of like there is really nothing that helps....

OMG, I just watched the video on that IBS link about Carol's IBS story. She had pains and gas, they did a breath test for SIBO and prescribed rifaximin, the newly marketed antibiotic for IBS. Problem is, they said rifaximin is a CURE for IBS. She said after her 10-day regimen she could eat anything and didn't have to watch her diet any longer. Those kind of statements sound like snake oil to me. Of course many people without positive hydrogen breath tests will want the antibiotic, and many who take the anitibiotic will have no response, or a worsening of the condition. So what does that say about their announcement of a "CURE FOR IBS"? Ugh.
