3 More Sleeps

Post by Joefnh »

Well folks only three more sleeps until the trip down under. For the newbies, I am beginning the process of making a move to Australia, and over the next 2 weeks I will be finalizing the paperwork with my new employer Queensland University in Brisbane. While there I wil have the opportunity of visiting with another PP member Gabes who has kindly offerred to plan some great activites... Stay tuned for lots of photos.

Like my last trip to Australia in August, I will be packing all my own foods for the 32 hour trip. Once in Brisbane I will be staying in a hotel room with a kitchen and will be able to prepare all my own meals.

As several have found, with proper planning and patience travel with MC is quite possible. I will be finalizing my travel foods tomorrow and will post a list for those who may be interested.

Joe - I'm so excited for you! I am truly inspired that you are making this leap.

Before my recent MC flare-up, I had been feeling kind of adrift/restless. I am so glad to have your example, and really see the beauty of moving to the next Right Thing in all our lives, rather than thinking we have to stand still and deal with MC at the expense of the big picture. It's so easy to procrastinate on pursuing a dream - and so wonderful to step into the future.

Thanks for that, fly safe, and I can't wait to hear about your new life.

And get some sleep, for those three more sleeps in NH!

Fondly,

Sara

Joe,
Looks like you have taken control of MC rather that letting it control you. You are in inspiration and so helpful to all of us here. Have a wonderful, safe trip and will also be looking forward to those photos. Australia sound so wonderful and adventurous.

I will say hi to Dr. Nagri for you.

Joe,

You must be so busy with getting ready for such an exciting trip. Get some rest in the next 3 sleeps and have a safe trip. I'm sure you will be well prepared with your safe foods stash since you've got this down to a science. I'm also looking forward to hearing about your adventures and a glimpse of OZ through your camera lens.

Safe travels!
Kelly

Thanks everyone for the encouragement, I am pretty excited about the trip and am looking forward to the move. I will probably start a travel log on Saturday while I am in transit.

It is only 5 more sleeps till i get my gluten free soy free lipsticks!!
I ordered them online (USA based retailer) and got them delivered to Joe if they work out ok, i will do another order before Joe's total move trip in July.

I will also get my US air force jacket, living in a colder climate that has started to get cool, it will be a necessity, oe has kindly organised some patches for me that will go on the jacket so i will be name: Gabes rank: Apg regiment: Yoda Force he he he he

and today is clean up day to get my place ready for Joe coming to stay, since having MC i am not as obsessive about having a perfect house, (it is amazing how MC shakes the perfectionism out of you....) but with a visitor pending the perfectionism is creeping back in!
I have been doing sewing of a night while i watch TV, there are cottons and bits of fabric 'everywhere' in the house it amazing how they manage to travel to almost every room.

Gabes I do have a suitcase fully of Gabes Goodies (plus a few things not listed)... Follow your anti-perfectionist instincts and try to relax on the extra cleaning etc, MC does not give us too much extra energy to spare.

As I am becoming the PP international courier service, I think I should go into business....
