Looking for a small elderly man ?????
Goody gravy.
I was sitting at the end of my bench this afternoon working on carving the bottom of a shell on a highly carved french piece that the movers had knocked off and thrown the piece away. I had my back to my wonderful windows since it gives me the best light to get levels layers and contours right.
This is totally right brain work that one can totally lose oneself in so was not expecting a knock at the door .
Got up from my stool to find a really nice woman who explained that she had been given my address and that their was a small elderly man that did exquisite work and was he available.
Holy smokes .
I am the only one here, ever, and though I am five eight and 150 robust pounds. 59 years old. I have never thought of my self as small and elderly. Yes i get grayer every year . Looks distinguished ,I hope.
But small and elderly??????
She wanted refinishing work that I no longer do and I felt good to be able to send her on to someone who could
After she left I went into a fit of laughter. In fact took a break just to laugh .
Life is for living! One must best laugh at every opportunity . Even small and elderly .
Love
Matthew

WOW, Matthew! I wonder what they're saying about me behind my back!
Actually maybe it means that whoever sent her to you last saw you when you were looking more frail and ailing ;) My husband thinks my hair is getting darker, since I restricted my diet.
Too funny....
Sending you my small/elderly regards,
Sara

Wow, Matthew, I had imagined you as a tall, slender, 30-something who was a great cook and who drove an old car around Colorado climbing mountains and wearing Birkenstock sandals in the summers, and that you weren't married because you had a bunch of great friends, many of whom were women, and you felt no need.
I probably have a similarly-inaccurate picture of almost everyone here.
