hi Zizzle---have been looking at other post and saw the one where u said that rice milk can possibly work as a laxative----

I shall be your *tester* and report in as to the milk *runneth* thru me and become my cleaner outer---

Well I hope it doesn't work (for our sakes)! I've also read that coconut water, not milk, has a laxative effect, but is otherwise very good for you. Since Tex and others believe we are all magnesium deficient, why not up your cal/mag supplements and see if that helps? I wish I could take more magnesium, but it causes D... Do you consider yourself to be in remission, or is your MC marked only by C??

zizzle---been in remission for quite awhile now-------and my constipation issues occured when I had my L-1 verterbre cemented to prevent back issues----had fallen down stairs and for that --received a compound fracture of L-1---so to prevent further discs from collapsing I was *CEE MENTED* :lol: and that is why i have trouble :toilet: ---worse than giving birth--- :lol:

guess things could be worse~~~~~

The rice milk sure worked as a laxative for me. As a matter of fact you wrote on my post about it and would never have thought of it if you hadn't mentioned it. Since then a lot of people tell me they can't tolerate it. But, coconut water I drink every day and it does not effect me at all. I buy Vita Coca, pineapple flavored, and love it. My GI doc recommends everyone drink a bottle a day. It has lots of potassium and is delicious. When I am having a flare I make sure to drink it and it is a lifesaver for me.
