I've missed everyone, and haven't browsed much yet to see what I've missed. But I saw the post about rice and had to jump in, in case any of what my weirdness is pertinent to you. Take what's helpful, if anything! . . .
I don't tolerate rice either. But a couple things have helped the last 2-3 months: I'm really conscious of how much sulfite I'm eating per day; and if I stay below a certain level, I can handle some rice. (White rice, not enriched or brown) Also, if I add a 1/2 t. of flax oil to it, I don't have any problems from eating it. If I watch the sulfite levels, I can even eat wheat, and other gluten containing things that I used to have to be 100% free of. I was really sensitive to rice, too - it was the sure-fire way to get a ground-glass-like bm experience.
Before learning about sulfites- tapioca flour, potatoes, and sweet potatoes were the only starches I could use. Cashew flour also, I guess, in some cookies.
Anyway, I hope you get some of your triggers figured out! Marsha
