Paging Zizzle

Post by Polly »

Hi Z!

Dr. Robert Wood, Chief of the Division of Allergy/Immunology at the Johns Hopkins Children's Hospital, has done numerous studies on oral/sublingual immunotherapy. The number to request an appt. is 410-735-4872. Perhaps you could call and inquire about pediatricians in the community who may be offering this service.

Hugs,

Polly

P.S. I am all for any therapies that reduce the number of invasive procedures for kids. I have always been upset about the incredible number of immunization injections we subject kids to. Surely a researcher could figure out a way to combine them. Sigh.
Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.

Thanks Polly! Great lead!!

I'm looking forward to the end of tree pollen season. Any day now I hope. Although all the congestion has lead to a junky cough and occasional rattling chest.

Tree pollens just kicking into gear here! Hope you're done soon. My allergy *and* digestive symptoms were better today. They got worse together, and then better... interesting.

Hope the cough/chest rattle are resolving fast (and hope no digestive symptoms accompany).

Sorry I didn't specify...
The cough and rattling chest are happening to my 3 yr old girl, not me. I don't have pollen allergies, and I'm so thankful I don't. My hubby and daughter have really suffered this season!

Sorry, Z - I did remember that it was your little girl who suffered with the seasonal stuff... but didn't word that very clearly.

Hope you're well, too! A 3yo with chest congestion must be hard on you, too.
