A VERY SAD DAY

Post by barbaranoela »

Today we went to visit L.s cousin Dan---a very emotional day--
Some of the *older-bees* might remember that Lou--me---Dan(his cousin) and Dan's wife Noreen were a 4 someone---
We bought a 2 family house --in Staten Island--many *moons* ago--and had the rest of our kids there--stayed there for 5 years and then found our own places but remained closer than close
Noreen and I smoked and did some drinking--Lou and Dan did neither--well Lou did luve his rum cokes---
They had 6 kids---all starting with the letter D--the only one I didnt confuse was son DANNY--all others girls-
After 5 years we went on our own--DandN bought a house in Wayne,NJ--L and I bought this house in New City--
As U might recall--Noreen died of Colon cancer--Dan than Met Marilyn--thru the members of his church and after 2 years they married--
Marilyn was a super lady and we got along from the beginning--of course the kids werent 2 happy--matter of fact they were damn nasty--and she just kept luvin Dan--they married---One day I asked Marilyn--why do U take all that crap from the kids? she replied--because I luve Dan~~~~~
Afew years ago Marilyn was detected with cancer--being a nurse she knew everything that was said to her---and we watched her dwindle---but she always kept a *smile* and hoped for the best--

Well--while we away in AZ. Marilyn passed away in Dans arms--my daughter Lynn represented us as family--
Today we finally met up with Dan and as much as I said*dont cry* (stupid remark) we all did as soon as Dan pulled into his driveway--WE HUGGED AND CRIED---and then he told us of how Marilyn passed--how he tried to revive her till the paramedics got there---he knew--things would not change---

2 lovely women that I luved--but alas someone GREATER wanted them--

Well one day we shall all meet in a better place---and have the same good laughs we always enjoyed--AND I know that Noreen was pleased that Marilyn filled Dan's life----

Barbara-

I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that you and you friend, Dan, will find some peace. I lost my mother last November, so I know your pain. I will keep you all in my prayers.

Morning Barbara,

I am so sorry to hear about Marily - my passed sister's name - and know how you feel. As we get older we see more of our friends either in failing health or going to join the Great One. My thoughts are with you and like Gabes, will be your perch pal any time you ask.

Love, Maggie

Dear Barbara

So sad to hear of your friend Marilyn passing. I am sure your visit was good for Dan even though it brought tears. Thinking of you.

Best wishes, ant :rainbow:

Barbara,
I am so sorry for your loss. I also lost two life long girlfriends over the last 4 years. I just think how fortunate I was to have had them in my life. I'm sure you feel the same about those two women.

Hugs,
Nancy

Barbara,

Sending you heartful thoughts today... how wonderful for Dan and for all of you, that there was so much love shared over so many years. I know what you mean about closer-than-close, and we're lucky to find those special people in our lives... and so bereaved when they are gone.

Wishing you peace and consolation, and more shared love always,

Sara

Barbara,

It seems that it's been a difficult year for you with friends and acquaintances departing this life. I hope that your visit with Dan helped him and that you can be comforted, too. It's hard to say goodbye to friends.

Barbara,

I'm so sorry for your loss. I almost lost my best friend last year, but fortunately she pulled through. It's so very hard to lose those you love dearly and have a wonderful relationship with. Sending lots of healing thoughts your way.

Love,
Kari
