We arrived at the house a few minutes before Dan drove in and as we all stepped outta our cars---we embraced and cried---
It was strange not seeing Marilyn preparing a snack---megga mounds of sympathy cards--all with such support for Dan--
He had 5by 7 framed pictures of Marilyn -when she hadnt been stricken--which was a most beautiful women--smiling with happiness shinning from her face--
*would U like to have a picture? Dan asked and I was so hoping he would--and yes I have the beautiful Marilyn sitting on my living room credenza--
I almost feel that she is saying * thank U Barbara for being my friend-thru so many years that the kids sorta gave Marilyn a very hard time--hell they were plain *ugly* mean to her---but she just smiled and accepted how they felt--afterall she said to me-*it has to be hard seeing me being hugged and luved by their dad--Noreen had passed away 2 years before---
We sat and talked and Dan told us what had happened--and that she died in his arms--needless to say--the tears were running down all our faces again-
And there Marilyn passed as Dan held her--
I walked around the house--that Marilyn decorated in such comfort--U could almost feel her being there---
We ate out with Dan--then it was time to leave---but knowing that Dan will be *ok* and the funniest thing happened today----
Dan called here and asked Lou to come with him to buy a clothes dryer---I had to *grin* ---than L. handed me the phone and Dan said--*Barbara I want U to come 2* said I to Dan--heck I was coming---just to see 2 men deciding on a dryer--Knowing Dan---the salesman would sell Dan an entire laundry room fixtures---
It was good for us to meet and share our feelings---being we were in AZ. when she passed---
Lynn attended the services to represent us--
I know we will be traveling to spend time with Dan---he has his kids--and grandkids but we sorta started our lives together---Dan our best man at our wedding--then eloping with Noreen while we were honeymooning --and thus starting all our years together ---
