No, I didn't disappear off the face of the earth..
Hello all my dear Potty People friends, and the many new ones, I see , that I have yet to meet.I feel very sheepish writing this after just up and leaving a couple of months ago with no warning, but life just got a little out of control and something had to give. Unfortunately it was my time on this board, ( along with sleep, fun.. all the good things!) . I especially feel sheepish about disappearing like that after posting that big spiel about how I am committed to paying it forward for the help I received on here, by continuing to be there for new people. I literally have not even popped on here to look at posts. :-(
I am not out of the woods yet either, but I couldn't count the times I have thought of you all, and wondered how you were doing, and wanted to do just this.. pop on to say hi... yes, I am still alive, I miss you all, and I WILL be back. Funny, but I always seemed to think about you , and Tex in particular, when I was out feeding the horses... and away from my computer... I guess that is probably the only time I have had alone to think in the last few months. I am gearing up for the end of the year reports now and finishing off a few programs, but am done the middle of June this year ( two weeks early) and should have time to breath, and come back on here, after that.
My sister is still slowly declining, and I am trying to spend as much time with her as possible, on top of my insane work schedule. And now gardening season has started...
Best regards, everyone. I hope you are all well.
Linda

Thanks for the update, Linda. I had wondered where you were, but remembered that you said that you were going to have a busy period. Don't apologize; we all have busy times in our lives. If you just have time to pop in and out now and then, that's fine.

Linda,
It's gardening season here, too... I look forward to knowing you more, when the time is right. As Gloria says, however you're here is fine. I was just thinking the other day that I hope I will remember to 'pay it forward' when I get to the next chapter (whatever that may be). I'm sure you will, and I will too - maybe not every day, or every week.
My most heartful thoughts are with you as you spend time with your sister. My only sibling lives very far away and is having a rough time (circumstances, not health). I'm so glad you can spend time with her. (I'll see my baby-bro in June, thankfully.)
These are funny woods, these woods we're not out of yet ;) Wishing you all the best,
Sara

Hi Linda,
We've missed you too, but we all realize that sometimes we have to do what we have to do. Our thoughts and best wishes are always with you - and remember to take care of yourself.
We'll be looking forward to every visit, and the porch light is always on.
Thanks for the update,
Tex

Aw, ya'll, thank you for your kind responses. I didn't realize how much I missed getting those little emails, in amongst the many , many work ones in my inbox, saying there had been a reply to my post or a topic I am following. Not until I got the one for your messages just now. :-) Got a little warm fuzzy feeling.
Yes, funny woods, Sara... Looking forward to getting to know you more too. I'm going to try to read a few posts each day just to bring me up to speed on how everyone is doing. Read a bit today on Joe's very exciting move to Australia!! Congrats on the new job, Joe.

LINDA!!!!! The more time passed w/out you here, the more I was thinking about you. So awesome to hear from you
. It sounds like you're doing reasonably well - keeping busy is good - I always wondered about exactly what you do - sounds like you teach something???
Anyhow, my heart rejoiced when I saw a post from you, and I look forward to when things ease up for you a bit, and you hopefully have more time to hang out with us here
.
Love and hugs,
Kari
P.S. Shirley - so nice to see your picture pop up again too - hope you and your relatives are doing well. Any more 'close encounters' with the bear?

Hello Kari!
Nice to hear your "voice" too. I have often wondered how you were doing as well. Sounds like you had a major flare( I have read a few posts) but are out of it now. Good. My heart sank for you when I read your expanded list of intolerances and saw eggs on it... I don't think you knew that when I was last on here. You and I have so many of the same things... Quinoa, eggs, dairy, gluten. The only major difference is corn (and bananas! Yikes!) I think I am OK with corn. I know I should do the MRT testing , and probably will eventually, but the logistics of getting it done from here are just too overwhelming for me right now.
Yes, I teach a bit, (adult computers, some English as a Second Language ) , but mainly I am a Literacy Coordinator for an area of about 700 square kilometers) for a small not-for -profit. We run about 15 different programs per year, for parents and their small children, right up to seniors, and I plan and execute it all, hire staff , advertise, report, etc. It is major multi-tasking but it's a wonderful job. I mainly work from my home office and set my own schedule.
Well, chores beckon.. toodaloo ..

Hello Shirley, too! Isn't it amazing how, as we go about our busy lives, the people on here are still on our minds and in our hearts.. once we "touch" each others lives, even if it is only in cyberspace, that connection continues. Like penpals of old , I guess...
Hope you are well, Shirley..

Dear Linda,
Like you, I am not visiting here as much as I would like.
When Tex says "the porch light is always on".... WOW.... that says so much!! ....about Tex and all the PP family. A test of true frienship is if you can pick up after an absence and not miss a beat.
PP..... such quality is here.
Best, ant

Hi Linda, I went AWOL along with you! Our lives seem to parallel a lot. I've thought about you often and wondered about your sister. Thanks for the kick I needed to stop and take time to post. There is so much love and support here with everything we go through. I don't want to take it for granted. Hope you are able to find some peace in all you are going through. Love JoAnn

I missed my birhtday on here!!!
Hello, Rich, Ant and JoAnn. It's so nice to still see all your names and wise comments here.
Thanks everyone for your acceptance and kindness. I felt very bad when my one year birthday on here came and went, and I was aware of it doing so, and not able to make the time to come on and say hi.
But I see that I now have a star!
(though somewhat undeserved!)
Linda

HI Linda and Welcome Home!
It is funny that we think of each other even though we cannot report in all of the time. I too get my absences here and so miss everyone then. Take care of your sister. I lost mine and I still regret we did not get enough time together before the end and she was very young at 41. It is wonderful having such a family here.
Love, Maggie

Hi All,
Like Linda, JoAnn, and Ant, I have been missing too. This is my busiest time of year for volunteer work at my local nature center, where I chair the Scholarship Committee. We award scholarships to graduating H. S. seniors who plan to pursue in environmental studies in college. It takes a lot of work to schedule interviews, followup with letters, write a press release, etc. We're about halfway through the process now.
And, (drum roll), we adopted a recue golden retriever last week! Buddy is about 5 and an absolute lovebug. More later about him.
Linda, I hope you and your sister have all of the time that you need together. My thoughts and best wishes are with you and your family.
Tonight we are going to an uncle's birthday party - he is 101 years old today and as sharp as a tack!
I love all of you guys and can't wait to have more time for the Board.
Polly xoxo
