Thanks, Naty... I am one of the ones flaring, and I will take those hugs. I stupidly ate a couple of corn tortillas on Monday, and didn't even remember that I cannot eat corn until I was done. The rumblings started shortly after that, and yesterday D and fatigue were pretty much constant companions. Today hasn't been so bad, so hopefully the flare will be short lived.

On the up side, at least now I know for sure that I am corn-intolerant.

Dear Naty

You are wonderfully young and wise at the same time. That makes you very special!

Thank you, ant

Hi Naty,

I second Ant's 'very wise' words about you - I think he got you figured out  - I LOVE your presence here.

Love and hugs back to you,
Kari

Marliss,

Sorry to hear about the flare. I can understand forgetting about corn (or not being absolutely certain). Especially when I feel good for a stretch, it seems very strange that I can't pop things into my mouth.

Hope you're even better today than yesterday.

Health and strength to all,

Sara

Thank you, Sara. Wednesday was better, then yesterday was bad, too, and my sweet almost-13yo suggested that it was possibly the berry freeze that I had gotten at Costco while shopping on Wednesday. I hadn't gotten a coke because of the high fructose corn syrup, and son-of-a-gun...!!!

But today I feel better, with just some lingering joint stiffness and muscle soreness. The weather this week has been just gorgeous, which has helped with my mood in spite of my stupidity. It looks like we will have a spring here in the PNW after all!

I did that back in late January or early February. You should see a small box with an "X" in it, in the upper right corner of your post. If you click on that "X", the system will delete that post, (after you verify it).

Be careful when wielding that power, because once a post is deleted, no one, (including me), can retrieve it.

I don't have that, I just have an edit button, and there is nothing there that I can use to delete posts that I see. And at the bottom right-hand of the page, it says I can post, reply, edit, and vote but that I cannot delete my posts in this forum.

It's so good to be able to come on here and know that there's something that will make you feel better...and sometimes it's people who know just what you're going through. The understanding makes the difference here! :grouphug:

Marliss,

Hmmmm. You're right, of course. I just checked, and apparently I must be getting senile, because I thought that I had set that permission to Registered Member level, but I find that it's actually set at Moderator level. Of course, maybe that means that I'm not senile after all, because if I set it to allow any registered member to delete posts, then any registered member can delete anyone else's posts, also, and that's not a good arrangement, since it opens the door to accidental deletions of posts by others, (which has happened before), and there's always the possibility that someone might become disgruntled and decide to inflict a lot of misery to the board, as they leave in a huff. A more likely possibility would be that some troublemaker might join, just so they could set about systematically deleting all the posts, just for meanness. :sigh:

Most boards have an option whereby a poster can delete their own posts, either up until a preset time limit, or until someone else posts after them in the same thread. This board originally had that capability, but somewhere along the line, (years ago), one of the many modifications that I added to the code, apparently eliminated or superseded that capability, (and I didn't notice it at the time) so it's no longer an option, (and there's no way to restore it at this point, without going back and starting over with a plain vanilla copy of the original code). :sigh:

Sooooooooo, as usual, I, (or one of the other moderators), will be happy to delete any duplicate posts.
