bidet

Post by Martha »

We recently ordered a Soft Spray Bidet from Dr. Mercola's website.

http://products.mercola.com/toilet-bidet/

This isn't a separate unit like they have in Europe, but it fits right on the toilet, hooking into the water supply down near the floor. There is a small piece that sits under the toilet seat, and the spray nozzle hangs down into the toilet and sprays up. You can control the strength of the water with a knob that is right at hand level.

My husband installed it himself, and it didn't take long. We did have to make a trip to Home Depot to buy an adaptor, because the hose was not the same size as the one on our toilet, but other than that, it was no trouble to put it in.

I wasn't sure I'd like it, but it is wonderful. You feel really clean, and it saves a lot of toilet paper. It's a lot gentler on the bum than toilet paper too. I heartily recommend it.

Hi Martha,

I agree with your post! I purchased something like that a couple years ago after several trips to Japan where they are very common. It is installed in our basement bathroom because I had to run a dedicated receptacle to it and I had access to the bathroom wall from the furnace room on the other side.

I wish I could bring it with me on the road

These bidets are great for our condition, and, when one is prepping for a colonoscopy. The one's in Japan will even dry your bottom.

Regards,

Rich
