so many times I wanted to tell U that I am an original BROOKLYNITE --I call it the most beautiful city in the world---
I had just started St. Michaels school(if it still be there) when my dad got a job in NY--lower east side) and we migrated cross the Brooklyn Bridge and settled in NOO YAWK CITY-I was only 5 years old---down by China town----a complex called KNICKERBOCKER Village--
Dr. CHAPMAN --words cannot describe how wonderful he is---and so upfront---U will luve him--he got me back to health------
do let me know what U think
luve Barbara

Barbara - it *is* the most beautiful city in the world! I was in Manhattan yesterday (midtown), and it looks a little bit like everywhere else these days. Even the Lower East Side is kind of going generic (believe it or not!). Brooklyn is still very neighborhood-y (and of course we love ours best of all - we're in Clinton Hill). There is still a St. Michael's school, I wonder if it's the same one??
thanks ant----louie and I HAD BEEN DATING SINCE MY high school years--and even a bit before that---of course my mom didnt know when mr. Louie and I would sneak around to C each other ----we had a great cover up involving all my friends --it was like an I Spy episodes--
And he would meet me at high school--and my home room teacher would always say---barbaraaaaa---louie is waiting for U----
I WENT TO ALL GIRLS CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL AND THIS HOME ROOM NUN WOULD SIT WITH A BUNCH OF US--TO HEAR WHAT WE ALL DID FOR THE WEEKEND---HAHAHAHAHA----AND WE HAD A TERRIFIC GAL--ROSETTA---WHO REALLY HAD SOME WEEKENDS-THAT WOULD BURN YOUR EARS---BUT sister LUVED hearing all the weekend escapades-SOMETIMES i THINK --SISTER WOULD LIKE TO TAKE OFF HER ROBES AND HAVE A BALL--
yes--we often talk about our years--remembering all the great friends we had--the fun times ----and u always have a great time when Lou is around---cus he is spontanious--planning need not be a preparation---just get up and go--

Yes our NYC location has gone totally oriental---a few years back we took a ride to see the old homestead--and now U can say it is totally a bigger CHINA TOWN--
But Knickerbocker is still there and still guarded---when we walked into the grounds---the GUARD came out--asking who we were seeing---and I pointed to building L--CRYING--

Barbara - I agree with Ant - what an incredible picture - the two of you look like you're positively bursting with happiness and still in love after all those years!!! Thanks for posting it - it makes me smile every time I see it .
Love,
Kari
