My late parents both served in WWII. My mom was working in a local radio station, and took the news of Pearl Harbor of the ticker-tape, then enlisted in the Navy. We are so proud of my dad's Purple Heart from the Battle of the Bulge.

May today's returning veterans have all the care and help they need, in every way. (My dad's disability checks went up when my brother & I were in college, decades later.) My folks were both the first in their families to go to college. Their service changed their lives, and our country.

Happy Memorial Day to all, and safe homecoming for those now serving in harm's way.

Even though I am a day late I totally agree with you Barbara. You always say and do it best.

Sara - I surely hope they are treated much better than the veterans who came back from Nam.
