Well Duh! I thought that everyone was well aware, (everyone other than these researchers, obviously), that dairy products are the number one cause of constipation in kids. With that in mind, are we supposed to be surprised that giving constipated kids a treatment based on a dairy product provided no benefit?A dairy probiotic containing Bifidobacterium lactis DN-173 010 may be ineffective in constipated children, according to the results of a randomized, double-blind, controlled trial reported online May 23 that will also appear in the June print issue of Pediatrics.
