Bev,

Thanks for the glowing update. It's always good to hear that someone's treatment program is going so well.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

My GI doc wanted me off Entocort too soon and I found a way around (e.g. generic). I am so pleased I did not taper down too soon.

Good news for both of you; Joe & Bev. Joe do get on the GF program, it will make a world of difference. The energy level seems to be the same for most of us; it takes time. I'm in my 6 mo on GF/DF/SF/EF and have begun doing more than "getting through the day". I love to work out side and have played a little golf with hubbie. Although by the end of the day I need my 8 hours sleep.....kinda like Gabes. Ginny

Ginny I have been DF for about 10 years now as I just stopped tolerating it. I too like Gabes have the issue with fatigue and needing the 8-10 hours at night. I am planning on going GF starting next week as I stock up on recipes and ingredients. Although I have been very good this week with little to none of the gluten in my diet.

Thanks so much for the input

It still amazes me that doctors look at entocort as a short term cure instead of a long term treatment. Guess the good news is that at least more doctors are finding entocort works... it just isn't a cure.
