Polly, thanks for the nice compliment. There is no secret. I believe it is genetics. My mother had nice skin and so do my daughters. I lead a very active life and have always watched my weight. However, since loosing 14 lbs. my skin is really sagging. I had a close-up picture taken with daughter number two while camping this weekend and I was amazed at how all my wrinkles and sagging skin showed up on the picture. Being right next to my daughter with her tight skin didn't help matters any.

Hello Charlotte,
Sounds like you had a wonderful time except for the magnesium drink
that you had and fortunately it didn't set you off into a terrible flare-up.
I just wanted to let you know I shocked I was when I read how much
Endocort was going to cost you, $675 or close with your medicare.
Today, I went to get my refill and asked how much did Endocort cost
without insurance and nearly fainted when she told me $1084. I just
couldn't believe what she said.... Seriously, why does this cost so
dang.... much. I sure hope you can find this medicine somewhere
where you can afford it.
I agree with Polly, you look wonderful and have a beautiful family.
Glad your back home,
Tanya

The amount that my insurance pays for Entocort is $2585.15 for 270 pills. My co-pay is $50.
Once I go on Medicare when DH retires, I'll have to pay the entire $2615.15 myself after I reach the "donut hole." I'm considering ordering it without a prescription (I think that's possible) overseas so that I can stock up on it while it's still available. We can only guess at what kind of deals were made with the pharmaceuticals so that they would support the health care bill.

You never know what you can do until you have to do it.
GrannyH,
According to the patent dates, the earliest possibility is May 15, 2011, but that can be delayed, if any litigation is pending at the time. I'm not sure what the second patent date is connected with, (it might be for additional uses not specified in the first patent application, so it may or may not be relevant ).

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Yes, Charlotte, you do have a lovely family. All those beautiful blonde babies and such a young looking grandmother!
I was worried that my magnesium supplements, which I have to take, were causing my D. so I just started using Magnesium spray, myself. I looked up how to make my own as the premade spray you buy was expensive. To make your own you just buy bulk magnesium chloride and mix it with water. Magnesium Chloride is used in making tofu, and so is available in bulk and relatively cheaply at Chinese/korean stores as Nigari flakes. Mix it 2/3 of the desired volume of oil in distilled water, and 1/3 in magnesium chloride.
Joan, do you find that the magnesium oil you use burns like salt on your skin? The only place I can put it on is on my feet and my thighs. Everywhere else burns too much!!!

Charlotte,
Your trip sounds wonderful, except for the magnesium drink and its results! Magnesium can cause D (or help keep other people regular), but it's also an important nutrient that helps with smooth muscle function. Without it, people can have excess muscle cramping, including painful GI cramps. I remember taking calcium/magnesium supplements as a teen for extreme menstrual cramps. My calcium citrate supplement also has magnesium, but the ratio is less magesium, and I always forget to take it anyway!! The trick is finding the balance. The average multi probably doesn't have enough magnesium to cause D, but I imagine it depends on the individual.
