You'd think my GI doc wouldn't give that to me since he was the one who dxd me with MC the second time. My second doc in CT dxd it in 05. The first one in 02 didn't do anything. He went on to run the GI dept. -- a perfect example of the Peter Principle.tex wrote:For those of us who have, (or are candidates for developing), MC, PPIs are not our friend, unfortunately.

You and me both, Marliss! What is CC? Collagenus colitis?MBombardier wrote:I have sleep apnea, too. It needs to be higher on my radar because sleep apnea in women is a strong indicator for heart attack. I have heart trouble in my family and I am getting to be of a certain age... But I have made my autoimmune issues (especially hypothyroidism and CC) the greater priority right now. In the meantime, I try not to fall asleep on the airplane.
That's sad, funny, and at the same time, oh so true.Marcia wrote:The first one in 02 didn't do anything. He went on to run the GI dept. -- a perfect example of the Peter Principle.![]()

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Yes, CC is collagenous colitis. I am a real newbie to this. When I went in for the pre-colonoscopy nurse's appointment I just happened to mention that I'd been having diarrhea for about a year or so. Apparently that comment caused the GI to do the biopsies. When I was told I had collagenous colitis, I had no idea what that was. I have learned so much on this forum. My latest quest (after finding out what SCD stands for on Wikipedia) is to learn about it and what it might be able to do for me, or not.

Those are the kind of results I get on a good night. Now, the night before last, I actually had an apnea. They don't go away completely but are pretty few and far between. I found that when my nose is stuffed I get them more often. I always wondered if it's an allergy or a nose problem; an ENT is going to be next in my future. I have a couple of
and three greyhounds or it could be a food thing, so who knows what's kicking it off?
