Martha,

I am sorry to hear the you had pain come after being GF. Maybe some other food is causing the inflammation - do you eat a lot of nightshades? They cause inflammation. I read somewhere that when you remove the major offender in your body, others show up, the body isn't fighting the major one - like gluten. Also, when talking about emotions, I totally agree with that idea too - I have the book "Feelings Buried Alive, Never Die" - this is super helpful too - easy to understand.

Good Luck in your cause!

Kari, it's interesting you mention yoga. I happened to turn on the TV last Saturday, and there was a program about yoga being good for managing joint pain. I exercise, but I don't do yoga. Is it possible to use the yoga just as exercise without the Hindu religious aspects of it? Once you learn the movements, can you just do them at home, or do you have to go to a class all the time?

Theresa, I don't eat a lot of nightshades, but do enjoy tomatoes in salads, and some potatoes. I haven't had eggplant in a long time. Are those it, or are there other foods that fall into the nightshade category? Thanks for the mention of another book. I'll look that one up on line too.

I hate the idea of more intolerances showing up once I give up gluten, but I guess my not liking it won't make it not true!

My Enterolab results should be back within a week. I'll make those adjustments first, and then start eliminating other things if it looks like I need to.

We had dinner with my son's family tonight. My DIL was trying to figure out if the fudge was safe for me to eat. My granddaughters asked what happens it I eat gluten, so I told them it gives me diarrhea. They shouted, "Grandma, we're eating!!!" Oops.

Martha, bell peppers are also considered a nightshade.
