Could be mast cells, but I'm really not having other issues right now. Typically when my mast cells are active I KNOW it becasue I have a multitude of symptoms. Might have been deyhdration. Went to the gym yesterday and felt fine. I didn't push as hard as I do with running and made sure I had plenty to drink before, during and after. I will try again (outdoors) when we get a bit of reliefe from this heat . . . the way this summer is shaping up that may not be until Novemeber:(

Zizzle, you sure do have some exercise intoelrance. My face gets red on occasion as well but I actually have good endurance. I will pay more attention to pollution/ozone - that makes sense to me . . . maybe it affects you too.

LOL  I've never actually written down all my symptoms. Looking at my description, it's no wonder I don't exercise!! Thank goodness this ridiculously limited diet keeps me trim! I do fare worse outside than in a gym, so air quality may be a factor. I've always attributed my inability to run outside to the hard pavement, which is tougher than a treadmill. I can run 1-3 miles on a treadmill and can barely run 1 outside. Then the thighs start to itch and I just want to RIP THEM OFF!! Ugh. Must be related to my dermographia. I swear, if Lupus is what I'm headed for, I imagine it'll attack my crazy skin first.

Could someone help me understand mast cells and degranulation? I have had much more trouble w/ D during hotter months - and we get quite a lot of those here in NC!

Last summer was the absolute worst - we had a heat wave and the longest extended heat wave on record for NC and that was the worst period for me so far. Once the heat started up here again, things became more troublesome for my health. And I have developed some itchy skin patches on shins that won't go away.

If there is a good site or thread that will help me understand I'd be appreciative to know about it. Thanks!
