Awesome post. Congrats on getting your girls to accept the diet. My kids are 7 and 4, and as much as I wish I could make them go GF, it would be a monumental undertaking, and one that I can't convince anyone of if their genes aren't triggered. But they eat a lot less gluten now.
I'm just like you on the joint pain, and was reminded of it after I apparently was glutened at a dinner party this weekend. I knew because the pregnant belly was back within an hour of eating, as was the frothy, violent D. I woke up the next day with the same ache in my lower back and creaky hips and knees that I experienced for at least 10 years. I wonder what mechanism allows one little spec of gluten to trigger all the aches and pains so quickly?? And is there permanent joint damage there? I just can't comprehend it.Waking up with joint/muscle pain, or hobbling for a few moments after sitting for a while is pretty much a thing of the past
