Zizzle,

REALLY?? Smells actually trigger D for you? Wow. I had no idea you could be that sensitive to smells. That must be a real pain every time you have to go out somewhere. I've been nauseated by smells, but never D. Ugh.

Sara--Yes, I believe there is a "No perfume" rule for us as well, but this wasn't perfume. It actually made me wonder if she had some kind of health issue going on. (Tennessee Baptist Ladies Chorus, singing for our state convention this week. My husband sings with our counterparts, the TN Baptist Men's Chorale.)

Lesley--I know it's not really funny, but kids SMELLING sick did make me laugh. Sounds like something my kids would come up with. Next time my youngest is sick, I'll smell him! (Though I do smell them when they're not sick--is that weird??)

I'm finding this discussion of sensitivities to smell fascinating. I'm very sensitive to smells as well. There might be a poll in here somewhere. :) Perfumes, smoke, petroleum.....hmmmm.

When I was with my son and grandson the little one was complaining he had a headache. My son was skeptical. I smelled him and told Omri, my son, that Tal WAS sick and that I would take him home. Sure enough he had a fever by the time we got home.
