Hi Carol,

I can definitely relate to you. I had a car accident over 4 years ago, after numerous physical therapy sessions and chiropractic appointment I was told that I would never have complete strength again. I was devastated, because I couldn't even move my head from side to side. My orthopedic surgeon wanted to put a rod in my neck so I would be able to move my neck the way I use to, but gave me no guarantee that it would work. Well that was a no brainier i was not going to do that. my chiro suggested core training and knew of a great trainer. I started with him once a week and in 6 months I was with him 3 times a week and could move like never before. Last summer I participated in (now don't laugh please) cage fighting for women over 50. I never felt better in my life. Then last fall I started to get sick and started missing some training session by Feb. of this year I just couldn't even get in to the car to travel. I kept thinking to myself why am I so lazy! I had to stop seeing my trainer. That was definitely not me. I was finally Dx this pass June with MC and have had a couple of set backs. I have learned to really listen to my body. Don't push it, if you do you might not let your body heal. If your tired sit in front of the TV or stereo and use squeeze balls in your palms. Get a big beach ball or exercise ball and put between your knees and squeeze. There many things you can do not to make your body so tired but still tone muscle. I am going to try and go back after the holidays. I will still take it very slow because I know my gut is nowhere near where is has to be. I am still treading water with foods(that to me is exhausting). Like everyone here I have increased my proteins and good fats, it has made a huge difference. However, I have lost a lot of mascle tone in this whole process and do hope I can get it back sometime in the future.

So my advice to you is really listen to your body. Don't push it. You will get back to ALL your physical activities in the near future....I promise!! There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Stay well
Robin
