Hi Shirley,

WHERE do you live where there's NOT a lot of traffic??? You were in Fla. last I heard.
I will probably be living where there's traffic, but usually I'll be able to run errands when
it's not peak traffic and rarely will have far to go.

One thing I've noticed is that many of the houses in older communities north of Atlanta
have small houses, but the lots are really, really big.

They have lots of little creeks in their backyards and lots and lots of "bush" in many of them.
Cuts down on mowing, but I would always wondering what was lerking behind those bushes
and vines. Keep envisioning snakes greeting me in the bathroom one morning when I'm half
awake. Anyway, it often blocks the view from the backyard neighbors, that's for sure.

Yes, will have to get you the new phone no. when I get it. I'm not moving really, really fast
getting done all that I need to do here. Also, there are things that may come up on the house
that I would need to be here for. Will try to PM you my cell phone no. the next time I drive over
to visit. It would be so nice to get to meet you in person, but know it would be a long shot
that you and I would be there at the same time until I'm there more permanently.

How is your mother's condition now?
Maybe I should visit you in Fla? Ha! Seriously, I do want to get down that way one of these days.
I've not been in Fla for ages. Some of my friends in GA love Fla.

Thanks for posting.
Love, Luce

I moved back to (northern) Rural PA (brought Mom with me) over a year ago. The longer I was in Florida, the more I disliked it. After Bill died I realized that I just can't leave this place. Too many memories I suppose, besides the fact that I like it here and enjoy the wildlife so much. I would have been back permanently a lot sooner but I was having extensive dental work done in FL and didn't want to change dentists in midstream.

I love that about the older communities. Also, the 18 years I lived in Ga...... only saw one rattler.

Yes, I'll keep your number for "someday". Any travel plans I have are also "someday". Especially "someday" I'd like to take one of the Alaskan cruises. I have no idea how long it will be before I am free to travel. I may be broke by then in which case it was a nice dream.

She is slowly going downhill. Her mental capacity is diminishing but that's fairly slow also. There are times when I think she's really lost it but the next day she is back to her normal. As far as her body...... she will always have a lot of pain from many, many bone spurs and she has a lot of headaches for which they haven't found a reason. Her blood disease (essential thrombocytosis) is still doing OK except she is always anemic to some degree. Her balance is not good. She has fallen a lot of times but only one time fractured a bone. Her hip... while we were still in FL part time. She recovered pretty well from that.

Hope you love living in the Atlanta area. It's not for me but everyone shouldn't want to live in the same place, right.
