Well thanks so much for the compliments everyone and the wishes for Oz.. Dr Polly I'm just going to have to follow doctors orders  a trip to Oz sounds like a good idea.

I have been surprised at how enjoyable photography has been. This is the first year I have tried to take this up as a serious activity. What I have found especially helpful is that it is a low impact activity, which given this past years 'fun' has been great to have this as something I can enjoy and physically tolerate....of course Nestlé does not mind the attention or walks in the woods. An artist I'm not, but I am having fun. It took me about an hour to get that effect on the waterfall picture.

As far as any remaining fun this year, all I have left is my yearly colonoscopy to monitor the Crohns next Tuesday. I did have a talk with my GI and he will be doing both a colonoscopy and a upper endoscopy during which he will take extra biopsy samples looking for mast cell issues. I did have a colonoscopy in December which then turned into the surgery to resect the portion of the large intestine that has had the chronic diverticulitis over the years. He still wanted to perform this series next week as I have had some intermittent lower right quadrant pain in the same location each time as well as the upper endoscopy, nothing bad but he wants to be sure nothing else is brewing.

Again I would like to say thanks to everyone for your very generous comments, I'm glad you enjoyed the photos.

Joe,
Those photos are amazing. So glad you posted them. Nestle is a beautiful dog, actually my favorite breed.
Sounds like you are healing and things may be falling into place for you, at last, I certainly hope so. You deserve it.

Take care and hope to see you soon.

Wow Joe, your pictures are terrific. Love the beach in winter and as a dog-lover I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Nestle. It's good to hear you are on the road to recovery. After hearing all you've been through I'm thinking I should be whining less.

Take care and again, thanks for sharing.

Carol
