Somehow you'd think that they'd know you're worried about results of any tests and it should be important enough for them to let you know ASAP. Had to chase down the results of my colonoscopy, had to ask for pretty much every result of every test I've had done in my quest for answers to a lifetime of illness. There is an elitism in medicine that we would never tolerate if we took our car in for service. We pay for it, either way, and we pay handsomely for medical service, it's time they actually performed a service, IMO.
Resolved MC symptoms successfully w/L-Glutamine, Probiotics and Vitamins, GF since 8/'09. DX w/MC 10/'09.

Thank you all!

Now I want him to respond to the other questions - the hernia and the painful esophigitis. He just doesn't answer.

He's the doctor I changed to. I already fired one. I won't get anyone better in Kaiser. I can't change him now. If I could I would. Maybe when medicare enrollment rolls around I will look into changing my plan.

The doctor never called me to tell me the results of my breast biopsy. I found out when I went to my PCP and he asked me what the results were. I told him I never heard and figured no news was good news. He looked disgusted (with the biopsy doctor), left the examination room and called the practice immediately to get the results. They were negative, thank goodness.

It's good news that you don't have Barrett's, but now what do you do? Sometimes a diagnosis provides a cure, but you're left without one at the moment. You can't continue to live with the pain; that's for sure.

Gloria - that's precisely what I am trying to get from him. What do I do about the hernia? The GERD? The esophagitis which is clearly visible? And painful? I cannot get an answer. What is wrong with these people?

I would call them every day and be a complete pest until you get all your results.

Is there any chance you need a follow-up appt to discuss all this?
